FIDO – International Organ Festival

FIDO – International Organ Festival
of San Nicolás

  • Valencia, Spain
  • 2022 – PRESENT
  • COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT

Music, heritage and cultural management. The International Organ Festival of San Nicolás (FIDO) is a cultural project that highlights the musical heritage of the Parish Church of San Nicolás through a programme featuring internationally renowned performers.

Global Menta takes part in the comprehensive development of the festival, coordinating the different areas required to turn the musical programme into a complete cultural experience. A cross-disciplinary approach that connects production, heritage, mediation, promotion and audience services, in permanent coordination with the Music Direction of the Parish Church of San Nicolás.

The fourth edition, held in 2026 under the slogan “When Angels Whistle”, also incorporated La Luz de San Nicolás at the end of each concert, expanding the experience and establishing a dialogue between music, painting, history and technology.

How we transform
a concert series into a success
with audiences

Musical coordination and production

The development of FIDO begins with close coordination with the Music Direction of the Parish Church of San Nicolás de Bari and San Pedro Mártir, “The Valencian Sistine Chapel”, responsible for the festival’s artistic programme.

At Global Menta, we translate this programme into the operational sphere, coordinating the needs arising from each concert and the participation of the different performers. Production includes the planning of rehearsals, travel logistics and the coordination of organ tuning, as well as adapting schedules and resources to the needs of each performance, combining this with the schedule of religious services and the schedule of cultural and guided visits to one of the city’s most important heritage sites. This preliminary work makes it possible to integrate musical activity into a living heritage space, reconciling cultural programming, parish activity and tourist visits.

Cultural mediation

Music is also a way of interpreting and understanding heritage. For this reason, FIDO incorporates cultural mediation initiatives linked to the concerts, which help contextualise the works, the performers and their relationship with San Nicolás.

In 2026, this dimension took on particular relevance on the occasion of the Palomino Year. At one of the concerts, the figure of Antonio Palomino came to life through historian and communicator Jesús Poveda, establishing a dialogue between the musical programme and the church’s iconographic programme.

The incorporation of the immersive La Luz de San Nicolás experience at the end of each concert reinforced this approach, offering audiences a new interpretation of the church’s artistic heritage.

Promotion and communication

Global Menta develops the festival’s promotion strategy to expand its reach, connect with new audiences and consolidate FIDO within Valencia’s cultural programme.

The strategy combines offline and online actions. The communications office manages media relations, the creation of informative content and the promotion of each edition. In the digital environment, the strategy integrates original content, social media and paid media campaigns focused on awareness and conversion.

The promotion is complemented by actions aimed at cultural, tourism and music audiences, making use of Global Menta’s different channels to strengthen the festival’s visibility and encourage ticket sales.

Hospitality and venue management

Each concert also involves specific audience service operations. Global Menta coordinates the staff, from ticketing to the hospitality required to ensure the venue operates correctly before, during and after each performance.

Management includes welcoming attendees, access control, seating, visitor information and the coordination of audience flows, adapting protocols to the heritage and functional characteristics of the Parish Church of San Nicolás.

A cultural experience with social impact

FIDO integrates music, heritage and social action.

All proceeds from ticket sales are allocated entirely to the projects of the Obra Social de San Nicolás, thus incorporating a charitable dimension into the festival’s own model.

Institutional relations and stakeholders

FIDO has the institutional support of València Music City, within the framework of its strategy to promote initiatives linked to music, innovation, the creative economy and cultural sustainability.

Global Menta also coordinates the relationship with the main stakeholders linked to the festival, connecting the organisation with institutions, collaborators, media outlets and professionals from the cultural, music and tourism sectors. This work helps expand the project’s reach, generate opportunities for collaboration and strengthen its presence within Valencia’s cultural programme.
