Royal Parish of Santos Juanes
- Valencia, Spain
- 2019 – Present
- Cultural management project
The Parish of Santos Juanes is one of the oldest and most emblematic churches in Valencia. Located next to the Silk Exchange and the Central Market, its origins date back to the 13th century.
After several fires, the building was transformed in the 17th century, adopting the Baroque style, most notably in its main façade and its richly decorated interior, which features valuable frescoes, particularly those by Antonio Palomino.
The complete restoration of the Parish marks the culmination of an ambitious patronage project driven by the Hortensia Herrero Foundation since 2019, and represents the recovery of an icon of Valencian heritage in the symbolic setting of Plaza del Mercado.
At Global Menta, we have supported the restoration process of the Parish of Santos Juanes since its reopening to the public in June 2019, adapting to the different phases of the monument’s recovery while managing the design and delivery of cultural experiences and mediation.

How we transformed
the parish into a cultural landmark
Cultural management
Global Menta’s cultural management at the Parish of Santos Juanes in Valencia is designed as a comprehensive model combining operational excellence, active mediation and adaptation to the heritage space, with the visitor placed at the centre of the experience.
We are characterised by an integrated approach, sensitive to the heritage context, combining mediation, visitor services and experience design that highlights the value of the temple.
The team is made up of specialised professionals who engage in dialogue with visitors, helping them understand the historical, artistic and symbolic context of the building. Guided tours are designed and delivered, along with self-guided visits supported by audioguides in five languages, following an accessible and inclusive approach. The management also includes ticket desk services, access control and visitor flow organisation.
Content design and mediation
Global Menta develops the content for cultural visits, delivered by our team of mediators specialised in history, art and heritage, to foster enriching dialogue between the visitor and the monument. During the restoration process of the Parish of Santos Juanes, we created tailored products to suit its particularities, such as multilingual audioguides and unique experiences like “Open for Works” or the “Panoramic Visit”.
With the completion of the restoration, we will expand the offer with new types of visits aimed at different visitor profiles, as well as activities and digital proposals. Our commitment is to continue providing a high-quality, accessible and meaningful cultural experience, supported by specialised professionals and the most suitable resources to highlight this heritage site.
Communication and promotion
We develop a comprehensive strategy combining creativity, high-quality content and solid multichannel planning. Campaigns are rolled out across digital media, social networks, traditional channels and tourism platforms, ensuring a constant and targeted presence. The production of high-impact audiovisual content and graphic design consistent with the space’s identity reinforce its heritage value and cultural appeal.
Special visits are also promoted in collaboration with tourism sector platforms, and partnerships are established with public administrations and cultural influencers to broaden the temple’s reach. These strategies help consolidate the image of Santos Juanes as a dynamic landmark within Valencia’s cultural and heritage offer.
